Pink Lady's Slipper--Cypripedium acaule

Location of Photos: East Brunswick, New Jersey
Date: May 15th, 2011
Note: This plant is not often seen, and decently elusive. Interestingly, I found many of them growing wild in a well-drained wetland area in total shade. The interesting part is that this "colony" is only 100 yards from the New Jersey Turnpike, evidenced by the prolific amount of bottles and visual pollution. Of all the places...

Common Musk Turtle--Sternotherus oderatus

Location of photo: Mullica River in the New Jersey Pine Barrens.

Note: If you ever attempt to catch these guys, make sure you hold them away from your body, with no part of your hand around their backside. They are called "stinkpots" for a reason.

Redbelly Turtle--Pseudemys rubriventris

Location of photo: Mullica River in the New Jersey Pine Barrens. I intend on getting closer shots of these guys--they're very quick to jump into the water.

Spotted Turtle--Clemmys guttata

Location of photographs: Banks of the Mullica River. In the New Jersey Pine Barrens

Welcome!

The purpose of this blog is to provide the public with copyright-free, completely original photographs of the plants and wildlife of New Jersey. Every photograph on this blog was taken by myself, and I hold all of their rights.

My aim in creating this blog is to allow students (and anyone else) to have a quick and easy source for their photo media. As a college student (and obviously someone who had to do plenty of projects in his lifetime), I know how annoying citations are. That's why this blog exists. Take what you need--as long as you are using the images for educational and non-profit use, don't worry about complex citations.

If you wish to use these images for business purposes, just contact me at curry.brian.r@gmail.com.

I will post info on all of the photos I can.

Enjoy and thanks for visiting!
